God of War 3 takes everything you loved about the series and amplifies it. The result of this is a truly engrossing game on all levels, from gameplay to graphics and even the music. If I were to sum up the game in one word it would have to be “Epic”.
The graphics are extraordinary, and the ‘wow’ factor kicks in from the very start. The visuals are consistently stunning throughout the game, however, the boss fights are really designed to take your breath away most of the times. I don’t believe any other game has attempted something this colossal, although the boss fights have always been grand in the series, this time around they are simply ridiculous, but in a good way! What’s even more impressive is that all this happens without any hint of lag – so it’s a smooth experience from start to finish.
I’ve always been a sucker for the Battlefield games. The huge battlefields these games provided always had huge potential for some intense online combat. Whenever a new Battlefield title is announced, I always have high expectations for the online carnage it would bring. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 does not disappoint.

The latest trailer for Red Dead Redemptions shows how big the gaming world is going to be. In particular, it focuses on the random encounters that would make the game feel like a real living breathing world. Hopefully these random encounters won't become too tedious, I am looking at you GTA4 and your high maintainance friendship requests!
I knew I would love this game the moment the music kicked in and the cinematic style boxes started to layout on the screen one by one. It is abundantly clear, from the very get go, that you are about to experience a game that is in a league of its own. That feeling of awe and excitement, not only stays with you all the way to the end of the game, but grows as the game progresses.
In case you’re still in the dark about what this game is: it is a murder mystery-thriller. You get to play four main characters that are somehow tied in different ways to the central plot that involves a serial killer who’s been kidnapping kids.
I am not too familiar with the Aliens or Predators franchises. But any concept that has two vicious races going at it with the humans helplessly stuck in between for a 3 way shootout is definitely a great setting for a video game. The game separates itself from the rest by not only giving three campaigns but providing each race with a distinct gameplay mechanic. However it seems that the game also suffers because of it.
You stand on top of the ramp surrounded by beautiful snow and scenery. You wait for the wind to pass and time your launch in that small window of opportunity. You can hear yourself breathe heavy. As the launch begins you can feel yourself accelerate at an increasing rate and hear the sound of your skis gushing through the snow. As you jump you wait for that last moment to land, a fine line that separates the gold medal from falling over. I am not actually talking about ski jumping in real life, but rather the Vancouver 2010 video game.
It´s almost a given that any game with "Shock" in the title carries some huge expectations. Irrationals "sequel-to-a-spiritual-sequel" has some huge shoes to fill, both in terms of gameplay and storyline, and the inclusion of a multiplayer mode was a surprise to many. So, Big Daddy is back, and this time he is meaner than ever before.
First things first, I am going to assume that most people reading this have played the first game. If you haven’t, I strongly recommend you play that first as the story and characters of the first tie into the world of Rapture so strongly that you will only get half an experience (and a confusing one at that!). For those who have, Bioshock 2 is set around 8 years after the first game, with the city of Rapture in a worse state than it was before.
