Let me begin by saying that I am not really a fan of UFC. Having said that, UFC: Undisputed 2010 did grow on me fairly quickly. Despite the many shortcomings, of which there are quite a few, the game manages to achieve some highly enjoyable moments, especially after you get familiar with the controls. The game offers a myriad of players from all divisions – welterweight, lightweight, heavyweight and several different fighting styles, such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Greco-Roman wrestling and Sambo. This makes for some diverse action in the octagon.

Welcome to a return trip to Pacific City in Crackdown 2, ten years have passed since our last visit and things have gone to hell, again. A scientist of the Agency, Catalina Thorne goes rogue and creates a virus that infects the clones we knew from Crackdown, turning them into mutated freaks. The virus is also injected into the general public, further spreading the virus. In order to negate this threat, the Agency creates a version 2.0 of next generation agents.
Thorne also rallies up a group of ‘terrorists’, known as the Cell, who fight the Agency at every opportunity in an attempt to overthrow them. You will battle the Cell by day and the freaks by night. That is pretty much the story, fight the two factions, complete the repetitive objectives of clearing out Cell strongholds to regain Agency control and finally watch the second cut scene at the end of the game. Overall the story related gameplay can be completed in about 10 hours.

The football genre has been dominated by EA's Fifa and Konami's Pro Evolution series; both focused on delivering a realistic simulation of the world's most popular sport.
It was refreshing to see another developer enter the race and also have a contrasting focus to deliver an arcade game style. However the barriers to entry are very high as Pure Football is up against two strongly established franchises that have spent more than a decade perfecting their formula on many of the larger and also smaller details; and this clearly shows.

Are you tired of simulation racing games getting all the attention? Are you bored of trying to perfect that one turn over and over again? Do you get cravings of wanting to blow up the cars that are ahead or launch storm fields on their path? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then Blur is very likely the game for you.
The primary mode of the game is the races. The added twist are the power ups that players can use in order to gain an advantage over the opponents. These power ups are highly varied and include homing missiles, nitro boosts, storm fields and shields to name some. It can be said that Blur is very similar to Mario Kart, however it features real cars and the action is faster, louder and a whole lot more chaotic.

Nier is a hard game to characterize. On the surface it may look like a simple hack ‘n’ slash game with poor graphics, its use of varying dungeon styles and camera angles make it unusual and unlike any game I have played in recent memory. Strangely enough though, the game succeeds where many have failed but simultaneously fails where games are expected to succeed.
Some people have wrongly classified the game as a RPG which once you play the game you will realize that it is far from it. When the protagonist levels up, all of the attacks are automatically upgraded. There are no spec options or any sort of point allocation system. The only choice you make is to decide which weapon to yield and which enchantments to use on your magic and melee items.

The much awaited release of the psychological action/adventure thriller Alan Wake has finally sucked us into the eye of the storm that Finnish game developers, Remedy Entertainment have been stirring up for quite some time. Oddly enough, their titles tend to be names of the protagonist we get to play as, also their last name happen to have a subtle correlation to the game’s story; such as Max Payne suffering excruciating amounts of ‘pain’ throughout the game and Alan Wake... well you’ll just have to play it to find out.

Last year when the Wolverine game was released, Marvel had stated that they would no longer make bad movie based games. They went as far as admitting that the first Iron Man game was a bad game.
Marvel's claims were more than just words because Wolverine turned out to be a decent title. However, the goodwill that Marvel had earned with me is entirely lost with the release of Iron Man 2.
