Video games are reviewed differently from movies and books. We feel that they have different characteristics and therefore use the reviewing parameters that we feel represent them best.

Movies and Books:

  • The movies and books are reviewed on a letter scale where a score of 'A' is highest and 'F' being the lowest.
  • You will notice that most of the non-fiction book titles tend to receive high grades. That is because most non-fiction books provide knowledge, and we are reluctant in giving knowledge a lower grade.
  • We realize that non-fiction books are wide spread and are not meant to be read by everyone. Therefore in our reviews we will list the intended audience that they are meant for.

Video Games:

  • Video games are reviewed on a score of out of 5
  • A score of 5 is for games that we feel are truly epic. That could mean that games that revolutionize their genre. It can also mean that the games may not do anything different but is refined in every aspect and meshed well enough to deliver an epic experience.
  • A score of 4 is meant for games that are good but may not stand out from the rest in their genre and/or fail to appeal to people who do not normally enjoy that genre.
  • A score of 3 represents games that have some good and exciting elements but there are other elements of the games that are flawed or not well done. These are the games you would want to check out by renting or going to a friend's place before going for the purchase.
  • A score of 2 is for games that have very few good elements but is unfortunately overshadowed by many poor elements.
  • A score of 1, enough said.
  • These are just guidelines and not a rule or law that we will abide to 100%. This gives us flexibility as games come in different shapes and sizes.

It should be noted that people that are hardcore fans of a certain genre or a game universe may find the scores lower than the way they would score them. That is only normal.
